BUS AND BOAT SIGHTSEEING TOUR

BLUE MOSQUE , EMINONU,KARAKOY, DOLMABAHCE PALACE, GOLDEN HORN ,PIER LOTTI HILL, CHORA MUSEUM, BOAT TOUR, GOLDEN HORN,BOSPHORUS BRIDGE, MEHMET II BRIDGE, MAIDEN’S TOWER

This tour is a great opportunity to see Istanbul and feeling the breeze of amazing Bosphorus in same day. After picking you up from your hotel about 8.30 in the morning depending where you stay, tour guide will present brief information about tour and what we are going to see. The bus tour starts from Sultanahmet. On the way to first stop, we’ll see Kumkapi fish market famous with its colourful atmosphere and fish merchants and a place where one can enjoy fresh fish at the nearby famous Kumkapi fish restaurants, also remains of the Byzantium Port, still ongoing excavating, walls of the city and Mevlana Gates.

First stop is Chora museum. Once we get there, the guide will give you a brief information. The Chora museum building known as Kariye museum aswell as Justinian’s Great Church. Its history dates back to fourth century during Thedosious II. you will have free time to see its splendid mosaics and fresco decorations for Church about 30 minutes.

Second stop is Pierre Loti Cafe .The bus takes you up to Hill and stop there approximately half and hour. Famous author Julien Vilaud used to come to this hilltop, he was French naval officer who wrote his novels under pen Pierre Loti. Piere Loti Cafe is overlooking Eyüp and Golden Horn with its small table and chairs. Following this, we’ll take a cable car down to Eyüb.

Taksim is the next place where we are going to pay a visit, up to date market in a cosmopolitan city with its shops and bars. After Taksim, we’ll go down to Dolmabahce Palace. A Palace where the latest Sultans were accomodated, ordered to be built by Sultan abdulhamit II. Today, it is still the scene of important official receptions.

On the second part of tour will continue with Bosphorus boat cruise. On the boat, we’ll see European side and on the way back on Asian side. It connects The Black sea with the sea of Marmara. It also between the limits 17km long with a width of 3,329 m. On cruising along Bosphorus, we’ll see Bebek, Ortakoy, artificial island Galatasaray and last one is Mehmet II Bridge.

On the way back, we’ll stop at the Maiden’s Tower for half an hour also known as Leander’s Tower. It takes its name from the myth between the priestess of Artemis Hero and her lover Leander. He drowned in his attempt to swim to see her.

After the Maiden’s Tower, we’ll come back to port where the bus will be waiting for us to take us to the Sultanahmet Square
